1. SHOULD I WASH MY HAIR BEFORE MY UP-STYLE SERVICE?

It’s preferable to have a 24hr-48hr time span of not shampooing your hair prior to your up-style service. This helps build texture and “grab” to the hair which promotes amazing results. If you feel that you need to shampoo before services, you’re more than welcome to; just make sure to add a thickening product and/or a light-weight to medium-hold mousse of your choice before blow-drying, which will help with texture.

2. I HAVE CURLY HAIR, WHAT SHOULD I DO WITH IT? SHOULD I KEEP IT CURLY OR BLOW IT OUT?

The type of look you’re going for will determine the proper steps to take in prepping your hair before your appointment. To keep your natural curls or wave, add a curl cream and dry with a diffuser to help define your curls. If you love sleek, smoother styles, or if your hair is primarily straight, then just come with blow-dried hair only. Please DO NOT use any flat irons or straightening products. Style-outs are available for an additional charge.

3. I ALREADY KNOW EXACTLY WHAT I WANT – DO I NEED A TRIAL?

Many of the photos of bridal hairstyles in magazines or on Pinterest have additions of hair pieces and extensions placed strategically placed to give the illusion of height, length, and fullness; it is very important for me to see the length and texture of your hair prior to the wedding day to make sure we achieve the perfect style for you. With your makeup, many images in magazines or online have been altered by Photoshop or filters. We need to see your skin and the condition it is in to make sure that the look you have envisioned can be achieved for you. We also want to work with you before your wedding day, so when you say “naturally dramatic smokey eye,” we know what that means to you. There is a vast difference in a neutral makeup look and a natural makeup look, so this gives us plenty of time to try several options to find what suits you best!

4. I ONLY NEED HAIR (OR MAKEUP) BECAUSE I HAVE SOMEONE ELSE ALREADY TO DO MY OTHER SERVICE. IS THIS OK?

Although we will do only hair or makeup services, we prefer to do both. When you use the same person or team for your services, you are guaranteed to have one cohesive, harmonious style for makeup and hair. If the other person does not do bridal styling full time, their time management may also differ from mine. If you do prefer for us to do only hair or makeup, please let us know in advance so we may contact them and collaborate on time and style. The most important thing is for you to feel at ease all day!

5. I PLAN ON CHANGING DRESSES BEFORE THE RECEPTION. CAN I ALSO CHANGE MY HAIR OR ENHANCE MY MAKEUP?

Absolutely! This has become a very popular request in recent years. We do offer a touch up rate which includes an hourly fee associated with staying to switch a hair style, make the eyes pop a little more for the reception, or simply to remove the veil and reapply lipstick. To inquire about the touch up rate, please visit the Contact Us page.

6. I AM GETTING MARRIED IN SAN ANTONIO/NEW YORK/THE BAHAMAS – CAN YOU TRAVEL WITH ME?

Destination weddings can be an incredibly beautiful experience, but preparations can be stressful if you are not familiar with the local stylists. If going overseas or simply out of the area, it can be hard to get in a “trial run” before the day of your wedding, and who knows if a local stylist will be able to achieve your dream look. We do travel all over to do hair, makeup, and personal styling for future brides. Please inquire for a custom quote by visiting the Contact Us page.

7. HOW CAN I SECURE MY WEDDING DATE?

A full listing of booking information can be found on our Policies page. Please review all policies.
